Declan Burke has published a number of novels, the most recent of which is ABSOLUTE ZERO COOL. As a journalist and critic, he writes and broadcasts on books and film for a variety of media outlets, including the Irish Times, RTE, the Irish Examiner and the Sunday Independent. He has an unfortunate habit of speaking about himself in the third person. All views expressed here are his own and are very likely to be contrary.
The review of the Artemis Fowl was very positive. I like that. But it was impressive quite how many incorrect facts it managed to contain. Someone's read the books and not managed to remember who wrote it, who it's about, and which characters are dead or not, how old Artemis is/was/will be in the future (time paradox). And so forth.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I can't commment, Ms Witch, having yet to read the book. Oops, I just did. Comment, like.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Dec
I know. That's why I shared my vast knowledge with you. I wasn't complaining. Just thought it was funny how someone could get so many things a little bit wrong, while still being a fan.
