Declan Burke has published a number of novels, the most recent of which is ABSOLUTE ZERO COOL. As a journalist and critic, he writes and broadcasts on books and film for a variety of media outlets, including the Irish Times, RTE, the Irish Examiner and the Sunday Independent. He has an unfortunate habit of speaking about himself in the third person. All views expressed here are his own and are very likely to be contrary.
Last year at the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival, I spent some time in the hotel bar talking to Mr Connolly. If ever that stuck elevator scenario materialises, I'm sure that the final molecules of oxygen would be sucked out in the most stimulating and entertaining way. And there'd be plenty of laughter...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that the rescue services would get there in time!
Thank God this is a hypothetical scenario!
