Eoin Colfer, 43, is best known for the best-selling Artemis Fowl novels.
He said he was “terrified” by the prospect of creating a new Hitchhiker book almost a quarter of a century after being introduced to what he described as a “slice of satirical genius” in his late teens.

ReplyDeleteBut I do believe you have not read every word I've written (!), or you would have noticed that I said back in June that Siobhan will win the Guardian prize. I then repeated it a couple of weeks ago, because I'm a witch, and I know these things. Will inform Meg Rosoff that she features on CAP.
And Eoin will do a great job. I hope. Didn't think anyone would dare try to take over from Douglas Adams.
